as i type this. on my way to nyc on virgin atlantic. sitting in the special aisle with some nice young peeps. mac laptops all around. things have changed.

self care. :)
my arms and shoulders are not in great shape. it's gotten to a state of worry so close before the ride. i've been to the doctor once - will go again in the next week or so. but right now what i need to do is focus on less traditional means.
today M and i had massages. very helpful for my shoulders. though - it's hard for me to truly enjoy a massage when i know how much it pales to the work i've done with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.1) omohyoid. this lady did a nice job on my shoulders and some sacrum stuff - so helpful. next up is some thai massage and acupuncture.
one of the things that i have not been so good at lately is the self care part. we expended a lot of effort on a couple other things last year and not on ourselves. it's time for that and we are on it.
starting the new gig tomorrow. excited - and looking forward to a change of pace and focus. :)

01:52 am - busted...
At the animal hospital. Confirmed suspicion that tetsuo is having urinary tract issues - blood in his urine. We get full results late tomorrow. He has sedatives in the meantime.
I am bitten. Went to horrid ucla er and decided to wait til morning and go to the real dr. Ultimately will be a couple hrs diff.
Sigh.
